The right to a healthy environment: Reconceptualizing human rights in the face of climate change

There is hardly any doubt that climate change threatens the enjoyment of a wide range human rights. Yet, in absence distinct right to healthy environment, victim impacts would have rely on existing rights bring claim. However, not only are these avenues always successful or even sufficient effectively and adequately compensate victims, but they appear especially problematic context change. This article explores implications recognition stand-alone substantive environment In doing so, it argues such could trigger paradigm shift facilitate reconceptualization law better adapt negative change, particular by incorporating key environmental principles system.
